The Buried King Inn
The first major building of the founding settlement, Highroad. Run, mostly built, and owned by Goodwife Quarni it is fashioned from a combination of supplies brought by the settlers and local timber. It was named for the Ayleid sarcophagus found when digging its cellar.
It’s appearance is all clean and polished hardwood with a sign, painted in white and blue, featuring a crown resting on a grave marker. As it’s the only permanent communal structure at the moment, and not a proper tavern as yet, there’s a tension between frontier tendencies towards blowing off steam and everyone wishing preserving this sole bit of comfort.
